These pieces are derived from a technique where the porcelain clay is individually dyed in its moist state, then combined to form the different final color patterns. These mug are then formed into their final shape with the help of a potter's wheel. Prior to firing, a clear glaze is applied to the final piece.  At this price, the artist is just simply trying to pay for her supplies.
